Dr. Valles is a Co-PD of the newly funded AnimalCareBot: Bridging the Gap between Emerging Technologies for Livestock Production and Education in Agricultural Sciences from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) – National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)

Dr. Valles has officially become a Faculty Fellow for the Translational Health Research Center (THRC) at Texas State University for FY2023.

Mohammad Nooruddin successfully defended his thesis titled “Secured and Versatile IoT Connectivity: A Novel LoRa-based Approach with Enhanced Encryption, Key Exchange, Real-Time Data Visualization, and Dynamic Storage Integration”

Mohammad’s and Dr. Valles’ paper, “An Advanced IoT Framework for Long Range Connectivity and Secure Data Transmission Leveraging LoRa and ASCON Encryption,” won the best paper award in the category of Security for IoT at the 2023 IEEE AIIoT.

Mohammad‘s paper “An Advanced IoT Framework for Long Range Connectivity and Secure Data Transmission Leveraging LoRa and ASCON Encryption” was accepted to the IEEE World AI IoT Congress 2023 (AIIoT).

Saad Rafiq and Erich Ellsworth will present their research poster on Smart City Firefighting Autonomous Data Collection at the TXST Data Analytics Showcase.
